About

Mark Wade is an artist with a passion for the details. His style is probably best described as Realism art. Not only in the way he creates paintings with a near photographic quality, but also the reality of the normal and gritty, slightly seedier facets of life. Having moved to London from Cornwall in the 80s, Mark was captivated and fascinated by the sleazy, neon fronted clubs of Soho and the anonymous clandestine visitors that frequented them. Being a working drummer, and playing the venues and clubs around London, he experienced the nocturnal nightlife first hand and his paintings are directly linked with his experiences of many nights out, in and around Soho.————————————————For many years, Mark was well known for his extraordinary realistic replicas of enlarged album covers, of which he painted about a 100 different sleeves. With his work being exhibited at The Saatchi Gallery, The Royal Albert Hall, The Savoy Hotel and The Barbican, as well as various public venues around London, and with collectors of his work in the Uk, but also America, Australia and the Far East. A few of his original paintings are still available and can be purchased from this website.———————————————Commissions
