Film Noir - Vol.1 is an imagined record sleeve for a fictional soundtrack vinyl album.

Featuring a sultry femme fatale and inspired by the strong light and long shadows of the movies from the 1940s and 50s.

Painted in November 2023.

Original Painting

The painting has been given a level of distress to reflect the wear and tear the album would have picked up throughout its lifetime.

Hand painted in acrylic on canvas and wrapped around board to create a 3-dimensional replica of the album cover, complete with a just visible paper inner sleeve.

It is float mounted and framed in a high quality white bespoke made box frame with anti-reflection UV protected glass, and delivered ready for hanging.

Mark only paints an album once, so this painting is unique and will not be painted again.

The work is signed and stamped with the artist’s stamp, and provided with a certificate of authenticity as the original piece of art.
