The Hands of Jimmy Smith 

Abstract watercolour painting of the great Jazz organist, Jimmy Smith's hands.

Whilst painting a Jimmy Smith album replica, Mark was fascinated by the dynamic pose of Jimmy playing the Hammond organ. His face contorted and both hands crossed over on the keys, fingers splayed with tendons and sinews flexed which Mark has focused on without the keys to create an abstract image without context.

Hand painted in watercolour paint on high quality cold pressed Italian made paper.

Measurements: 42cm × 29.5cm.

Signed and stamped with artist’s stamp and provided with Certificate of Authenticity.
