Original Painting

This album cover arguably named the whole 50s fascination with Polynesian tiki culture and exotica, and launched a thousand tiki style bars, with their bamboo beads, palm coverings and exotic rum based cocktails.

The sultry gaze of the model, Sandy Warner looks out from behind a bamboo beaded curtain and gives the impression that her eyes are following you around the room from the painting.

Hand painted in acrylic on canvas and wrapped around board to create a 3 dimensional replica of the album cover, complete with a just visible paper inner sleeve.

Mark only paints an album once, so this painting is unique and will not be painted again.

The work is signed and stamped with the artist’s stamp, and provided with a certificate of authenticity as the original piece of art.

It is float mounted and framed in a high quality bespoke made box frame with anti-reflection UV protected glass, and delivered ready for hanging.
