Park Lane Subway

Contemporary urban landscape of the underground walkway below Park Lane, linking Hyde Park with Mayfair.

The painting captures the lonely sight of a homeless persons cardboard box ‘bed’ for the night. There is an ironic juxtaposition between the person who has nothing, and the untold wealth and luxury of the people who live a few metres away at the far end of the walkway.

Oil on stretched canvas - 60cm × 60cm

The painting is signed on the front and stamped on the rear of the canvas with the artist’s stamp and provided with a certificate of authenticity as the original piece of art.
