Jimmy Smith At The Organ is an original hand painted replica of the Blue Note album by the incredible Jimmy Smith. Kept by the artist for his personal collection and no longer for sale.

The image of Jimmy Smith in full throttle at the organ. Face contorted, hands crossed over each other, his fingers splayed showing flexed tendons and sinews is very evocative and the enlarged painting has a monumental feel.

The painting has been given a level of distress to reflect the wear and tear the album would have picked up throughout its lifetime.

Hand painted in acrylic on canvas and wrapped around board to create a 3-dimensional replica of the album cover, complete with a just visible paper inner sleeve.

It is float mounted and framed in a high quality bespoke made box frame with anti-reflection UV protected glass, and delivered ready for hanging.

Mark only paints an album once, so this painting is unique and will not be painted again.

The work is signed and stamped with the artist’s stamp, and provided with a certificate of authenticity as the original piece of art.
