Part of the ‘Blondes, Brunettes & Redheads’ collection.

In the 50s and 60s it was common to feature an attractive scantily dressed woman, in this case Hollywood bombshell Jayne Mansfield, often in an exotic setting to sell, what was frequently, a mediocre easy listening album.

In this painting, Mark is celebrating the unique and slightly risqué era of when album covers offered more on the outside than the recording on the vinyl inside. The use of special photography techniques gave these album covers a unique light and colour which Mark has tried to convey in his painting.

Hand painted in acrylic on canvas and wrapped around board to create a 3 dimensional replica of the album cover, complete with a just visible paper inner sleeve.

Mark only paints an album once, so this painting is unique and will not be painted again.

The work is signed and stamped with the artist’s stamp, and provided with a certificate of authenticity as the original piece of art.

It is float mounted and framed in a high quality bespoke made box frame, and delivered ready for hanging.
